B.J. Haeck joined Morris & Sullivan as an associate in October 2003, practicing in the areas of civil appeals and contract negotiation and formation. Notable cases include Bell v. Agee Construction Inc., 125 Cal.App.4th 453, 23 Cal. Rptr.3d 33 (App. 2004).
Prior to joining Morris & Sullivan, Mr. Haeck worked in the Seattle area, specializing in immigration and contract law, arguing two immigration cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2000, Mr. Haeck moved to Tucson, Arizona where he clerked for the Hon. Judge Jane Eikleberry of the Pima County Superior Court. Following his clerkship, he moved to San Diego in 2003.
B.J. Haeck graduated with high honors in English and History from the University of Florida in 1993. He then attended the University Of Washington School Of Law where he served as Articles Editor for the University of Washington Law Review. During that time, he published a case note regarding Admiralty Law entitled, "Yamaha Motor Corp. v. Calhoun: An Examination of Jurisdiction, Choice-of Laws, and Federal Interests in Maritime Law."
Mr. Haeck is licensed to practice in Washington and California, as well as before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
