Lawyers | Valerie S. Silverman, Associate
Valerie Silverman joined Morris & Sullivan as an associate in April 2005, practicing in the areas of construction defect litigation and employment and labor law litigation.
Prior to joining Morris & Sullivan, Ms. Silverman held many internships while in law school. Ms. Silverman worked with the Children's Law Center of Los Angeles representing children who were removed from their parents due to abuse or neglect. Ms. Silverman also interned with a local family law attorney assisting on divorce and custody issues. Amidst Ms. Silverman's experience, she also worked with the San Diego Public Defender in the felony arraignment division and the Bail Project. Ms. Silverman also interned with private defense counsel on a high profile juvenile case for which she was featured in the local press.
Valerie Silverman received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Arizona, where she majored in Political Science, Judaic Studies and English. During that time, she was published in a text authored by Jerold Rusk entitled, "A Statistical History of the American Electorate." While attending California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, in pursuit of her Juris Doctorate, she earned various academic honors, including multiple semesters on the Dean's List and other academic achievement recognitions. In addition to a Juris Doctorate, Ms. Silverman earned a certificate in the field of Child, Family, and Elder Law from California Western.
Ms. Silverman is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association.
Ms. Silverman is admitted to practice law in California and U.S. District Court, Southern District of California. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in May 2005.
