Shawn Morris is the managing partner of Morris, Sullivan & Lemkul LLP. As managing partner, Mr. Morris oversees the administration of all of the firm's offices. Mr. Morris has extensive civil trial experience in all areas of litigation, particularly complex trial litigation. Mr. Morris has handled approximately 250 construction related claims and he has appeared in almost every jurisdiction in California. He has successfully completed over thirty (30) jury trials and he is a member of the highly prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) ®. Mr. Morris is ranked "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible ranking an attorney may obtain.
Mr. Morris is responsible for shaping many current aspects of California's construction defect laws. In addition to construction claims, Mr. Morris handles a wide range of litigation involving product defect, personal injury, trademark disputes and insurance related claims. He is a frequent lecturer and author on litigation related topics ranging from WRAP insurance policies to indemnity and builder risk management.
Shawn Morris received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Diego State University in 1985. In 1988, Shawn received his Juris Doctorate from the California Western School of Law where he served as the law school's lead articles editor.
Mr. Morris is a member of the Building Industry Association (BIA), as well as the San Diego County and California State Bar Associations.
